First Semester: Trigonometry
Fundamentals of trigonometry. Topics include review of algebraic functions, definitions of trigonometric: and circular functions, graphs, identities and applications. Other material includes solving trigonometric equations, solving triangles using the Laws of Sines and Cosines, vectors, polar coordinates and graphs, polar representations of complex numbers and conic sections.
Second Semester: Pre Calculus (Algebra 3)
Preparation for calculus. Study of polynomials, rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, trigonometric functions, systems of linear equations, matrices, determinants, rectangular and polar coordinates, conic sections, complex number systems, mathematical induction, binomial theorem, and sequences.
Students will be responsible for completing 4 to 6 hours of homework per week out of problems from the textbook and publisher worksheets. Due to time constraints, exams will be taken at home.

Hello, Welcome. I am the Science and Math group tutor at Inspire. I teach high school math and sciences, and I love it. I joke that "Algebra is my Love Language" and "Physics is my Passion". This is my 4th year with Inspire and my 8th year tutoring. I am a former Process Engineer from Silicon Valley, where I worked in the semiconductor industry with the machines that made computer chips. I have a Bachelors degree in Math and Physics from Humboldt State University and Over 20 years of engineering experience. I want to inspire the next generation in math, science and engineering. I am here to bridge the gap for home school students and educate the future. I look forward to having the opportunity to teach math and sciences to your students.
