9th - 12th Grades

Utilizing the well-renowned personal finance curriculum written by financial expert Dave Ramsey, students will gain usable knowledge and experience managing their finances and planning for their financial journey toward adulthood.

Learning to safely secure a reliable income, successfully balance a personal budget, avoid debt like the plague, appreciate the value of saving, and be prepared for the financial future are a few of the topics covered in this class.

Interactive projects, collaborative assignments, and engaging activities to spark meaningful learning will be employed in this lively and often entertaining academic elective course.  (Dave Ramsey has quite the sense of humor!)

Practical activities such as learning to negotiate and bargain, navigating job interviews, writing an effective resume, and balancing an "old fashioned" check book ledger will be included.

*Class meets twice per week (both days required) and is offered 1st period, as well as 6th period.
