This course introduces students to the principles of design using Photoshop and Illustrator. Each lecture will focus on the principles of good design while walking students through tutorials on how to use the Adobe software. Students will be given exercises to work on during class and at home. These exercises will give students the opportunity to practice using Adobe tools, exercise their creativity, and create some amazing designs they will be proud to display. In class, students will also explore graphic design trends and their applications. Students will learn to receive and give constructive critiques to improve design work..
* Please Note, the $40 material fee is only for students who need to rent a class laptop for the semester. If students will bring in their own computer, there is no material fee.
No experience with Adobe programming is required.
