S.T.E.A.M. is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach incorporating art as a medium for learning. Rather than teach the four disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, STEAM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world problems.

I have always had a love for learning every since I was a child. I have studied dance since the age of two: Ballet, Jazz, Tap, World Dance styles, and Hip-Hop. I received my B.A. in Multicultural Education from Sonoma State University and began working as a Program Coordinator for at-risk youth. It was an amazing experience and it solidified my desire to serve the youth.
Over the past 20 years I have had the opportunity to teach k-12th grade and community college courses. This has given opportunity to work with a variety of families and students. During my 20 year journey I was trained in Behavioral Management and have worked specifically with children on the Autism spectrum. This training has allowed me to serve as a special education aide as well as in-home behavioral services and case management.
I'm also a mother of two children who I have homeschooled, my son 16 and my daughter 5. It is very important to me that I provided students with room to create, question, explore, and grow in an environment that strengthens their academics.
